UX / UI Designer

Portera is looking for a UX/UI Designer to Craft Engaging, User-Centered Digital Experiences

Are you a creative designer with a passion for user-centric design and seamless user experiences? Do you enjoy transforming ideas into functional, intuitive web-based applications? If so, Portera is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will design user-friendly interfaces, conduct user research, and collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to create innovative solutions that meet both user and business needs. Your designs will align with our brand while enhancing usability, and you’ll iterate based on feedback and usability testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• User-Centered Design: Design user-friendly interfaces for web-based applications that meet both user needs and business goals.
• User Research & Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and iterate on design decisions.
• Design Process: Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Prototyping & Mockups: Develop high-fidelity prototypes and mockups to bring design concepts to life.
• Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative, user-friendly solutions.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines while enhancing user experience.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve designs.
• Documentation: Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, and style guides to ensure consistent application of designs.
• UX Strategies: Participate in the development of UX strategies and processes to guide future design efforts.
• Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in design.

Key Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of proven experience as a UX/UI Designer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Arts, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects.
• Experience conducting hands-on user research to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision.
• Experience with UX research tools like FigJam, Miro, and HotJar.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive and adaptive design, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ADA).
• Strong visual design skills, including a solid understanding of typography, color, and layout.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and decisions clearly.
• Relevant certifications in UX/UI design, such as Nielsen Norman Group UX Certifications or Google UX Design Certificate.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
